Casadei's Electrifying Start to the MotoE Season
Mattia Casadei is making a serious statement at the beginning of the MotoE season. The Italian rider continues to dominate, leading the second practice session at Le Mans, showcasing incredible speed and precision on his electric bike.
A Thrilling Race at Le Mans and Mugello
At Le Mans, Casadei's teammate, Eric Granado, initially held the lead. However, Casadei quickly took over, ultimately setting a new fastest-ever MotoE lap record for the circuit – a blazing 1m39.813s. The LCR E-Team riders were truly in a league of their own, with Casadei edging out Granado by a mere 70 thousandths of a second. Jordi Torres secured a strong third place.

The excitement continued at Mugello for the Italian Grand Prix, the fourth round of the MotoE championship. Race 1 was initially red-flagged after just one lap due to a crash involving Lukas Tulovic, who luckily sustained only minor injuries – a small lung injury and concussion. This led to an unusual race order: Race 2 took place first, followed by the restarted Race 1.
