The nine nominations represent a strong showing for Lamar, who has now had 66 Grammy nominations in his lifetime. If fans are anxious to see if Lamar will win a third major category, he has yet to win Album of the Year, while also receiving numerous nominations in this category.
Lady Gaga Follows Close Behind
Lady Gaga is also a star this year with seven nominations including her album "Mayhem" and the hit song "Abracadabra." She is nominated in the three big categories — Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year — a feat she also accomplished in 2010. Gaga's fans are excited as this could be her first win in Album of the Year.
