Actress Anna Camp confirmed her relationship with Jade Whipkey on Monday, June 18, when they made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of Bride Hard which happened to be the couples first time appearing publicly together.
Camp, 42, is well known for her work in Pitch Perfect, as well as having played Sarah Newlin in the HBO series True Blood, while Whipkey, 24, is a stylist and writer who has worked with music and television stars alike. The adorable couple walked hand in hand down the red carpet, gathering snapshots from the crowds of photographers and fans, and Camp wearing a glittering green sequined dress while Whipkey donned a fitted grey suit with a bolo tie.
Even though this was their first time being together publicly, they've hinted at their relationship together on social media, and earlier this year Whipkey had an emotional Instagram that alluded to Camp as “a poem” and “music for dancing.” Camp then reposted it with a heart emoji, which made it clear to followers that there was a romance. Their first public red carpet appearance confirms what most fans thought.
Camp's involvement with Whipkey comes several years after her divorce from actor and Pitch Perfect costar Skylar Astin in 2019. After her divorce, she was briefly romantically involved with producer Michael Johnson. Camp's new relationship indicates a new chapter in her personal life—one that she is embracing much more publicly.
In February 2025, Camp casually mentioned in a TikTok video that she was "dating a woman," and, "it is great." Since then, both Camp and Whipkey have been more open about their relationship, often commenting on each other's posts in a supportive way. In one post which Camp shared, she said "Happiness lately happening" commenting on the joy she was felt, to which answered Whipkey simply said, "Big time happy."
Whipkey has made a name for herself within the fashion and entertainment industries by working with artists including Keke Palmer and Coco Jones. Fans, especially within the LGBTQ+ community, have responded very positively to her relationship with Camp.
Their red carpet debut is viewed not only as a personal moment but as part of a larger trend in Hollywood. Visibility and acceptance grow ever more for LGBTQ+ relationships as public figures acknowledge their authentic selves. Camp and Whipkey’s presence is both a promise of love and the chance of progress in an industry that is skating towards diversity and openness.
