Beyoncé made a serious entrance on her Houston date on the Cowboy Carter tour wearing custom pieces that merged western wear and high-fashion. The concert at NRG Stadium was not just a concert, it was a homecoming. Beyoncé, who is originally from Houston, had a chance to both honor her surroundings and her background through music and fashion in all of its glorious forms.

One of the notable looks from the evening was a custom white Mugler piece. The outfit had a structured bodysuit with fringed chaps, a cropped jacket, and a large-brimmed cowboy hat. The outfit beautifully juxtaposed a traditional rodeo look with a fashion-forward design. The outfit served as a punchy opening to the show and exemplified the country theme of her latest album.

The celebration of fashion was not just about Beaumont, it was also about the fans in the audience who dressed in rhinestone-covered denim, western hats, and cowboy boots. The participation of the crowd helped to bridge the gap between the artist, Beyoncé, and the people in her hometown audience. The outfits were the cultural experience that made the concert a full visual and cultural experience.

Beyoncé changed into a myriad of custom outfits—a different outfit for each section of the show, because that's a norm<|image_sentinel|> and then there was this one outfit that became the showstopper. The red Moschino catsuit embellished from top to bottom in Swarovski - over 250,000 to be exact, plus over 75,000 hand-sewn beads. Her cowgirl boots and hat matched perfectly and twinkled as they bounced across the stage.

Beyoncé also wore a look from Loewe on stage, which was an index of details—a Swarovski covered cowboy shirt, a plaid skirt, and custom flame boots. For the stage moment, B wore a Burberry look, featuring rhinestone denim (as Blue Ivy wore a similar look). It was a perfect moment for mother and daughter.

Beyoncé's outfits for the tour all belong to one larger creative vision called the Cowboy Carter era. With the designs emphasizing Southern and cowboy culture, while still maintaining a fashion-forward, contemporary, runway feel, her long-time stylists, Shiona Turini, Ty Hunter, and Karen Langley, were also extremely important to the design function, or how did they create something that fit into the mood of the songs.

From the Mugler opening look to the detailed red Moschino set, even the red puffer coat with the white run down the side. Each represented Beyoncé as an artist that thrives on details with an emphasis on creating each show, or every look, feeling distinct or unique from one another.  Each design was more than eye candy, they had purpose that became part of the story.
