CBS has confirmed that Big Brother Season 27 will kick-off on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 8 PM ET/PT. What we know so far is the first episode will run 90 minutes and rollout a new set of houseguests.

This is the first season in which the show will have a completely new cast of players, there are not going to be contestants returning from other seasons to compete; thus allowing for an entirely new experience for the audience. The premiere and recruitment promotions have a brand new key twist associated with the game, and it should be interesting to see what them announce next. CBS confirmed this will be the show's "biggest season," which included extended episodes and additional content throughout the week.

After the premiere, another 90-minute episode will follow on Sunday, July 13 at 8 PM ET/PT. The series will then continue on a regular weekly schedule, starting Wednesday, July 16:

Wednesdays: 90-minute episodes

Thursdays and Sundays: 60-minute episodes

All episodes will air at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS. The increase in Wednesday's episode runtime is part of the network plan to provide fans a more comprehensive experience of life in the Big Brother house.

The host of the season will once again be Julie Chen Moonves, who has been a part of the series since its premiere in 2000.

CBS is relaunching the Big Brother brand through a "companion series" called Big Brother: Unlocked. The experience will start Friday July 25, 2023, and run every other Friday night at 8 PM ET.

The show will be a talk-show style format featuring former Big Brother All-Stars and will include behind-the-scenes clips, behind-the-scenes interviews, and discussion of the current season. While former contestants won’t be playing in the house this year, they will still appear on Unlocked, discussing their thoughts about the season's biggest events.

This year, fans will have even more platforms to continue their Big Brother viewing:

The CBS televised episodes will be live, of course.

Paramount+ subscribers can watch the episodes live (with the Premium plan) or can watch the episodes the following day.

Live feeds will be available on Paramount+ and also on Pluto TV for free, offering 24/7 feed of what’s happening in the house.

There are sure to be many twists and surprises this season connected to the show’s mystery theme. While CBS has yet to provide specifics, promotional images displaying host Julie Chen Moonves among a wall of keys seem to signify that unlocking secrets will be imperative to the game.

With all new players and new content week after week, Season 27 will provide fans something to engage with like never before. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to the game, this summer has put together a Big Brother to surely entertain with new players, new twists, and drama galore.
