Bollywood's beloved Dharmendra passed away peacefully at his home in Mumbai on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89 years old, only weeks before his 90th birthday. Little more than a week before, he had been discharged from Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, after being treated for "breathlessness" for two days. "He-Man" Dharmendra had established a long and rich tradition in the Movies, spanning more than six decades in the film business and more than 300 films.

Dharmendra, a well-known figure, entered the Breach Candy Hospital at the end of October, due to trouble with his breathing and subsequently returned home following discharge and was recovering. His family remained hopeful he made a full recovery, but his health deteriorated and he passed away on November 24. His family, including Esha Deol (daughter) and Hema Malini (wife), were present for his final moments. Numerous film industry personalities came for his final rites, including Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi, at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai.
