Bonnaroo 2025 Canceled After Heavy Rain Floods the Festival Grounds
Bonnaroo 2025, one of the biggest music festivals in the U.S., was officially canceled on Friday evening, June 13, after just one full day of performances.
The decision came after continuous rain caused severe flooding across the event grounds in Manchester, Tennessee.

The festival had started as planned on Thursday, June 12, with large crowds and high energy. But by Friday afternoon, the weather turned dangerous. Organizers evacuated the main area, Centeroo, and later announced the full cancellation of the rest of the weekend.
This meant fans missed out on shows from major artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Hozier, and Tyler, the Creator.
The safety of attendees was the top concern. Due to heavy rainfall and water damage at the site, it was no longer safe to continue. Emergency teams and local agencies worked quickly to help campers and guide them off the property safely.
Festival organizers promised refunds to ticket holders. Those who bought single-day tickets for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will receive full refunds.
People with 4-day passes and camping packages will get 75% of their money back. Refunds are expected to be processed within 30 days and sent back to the original payment method.
This isn’t the first time Bonnaroo has been called off. In 2021, the festival was canceled due to flooding from Hurricane Ida. And in 2020, it was shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year’s weather event is another reminder of how outdoor festivals are vulnerable to extreme conditions.
Fans shared their disappointment on social media, but many also expressed understanding, knowing the situation was out of everyone’s control.
23The Bonnaroo team thanked everyone for their patience and support and promised to be back in the future with more music and memories.
