Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence: Now Officially In-Laws!
It’s official! Two comedy legends are now family. Eddie Murphy revealed on The Jennifer Hudson Show that his son, Eric Murphy, secretly married Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin Lawrence. Honestly, I was surprised! I mean, who would have guessed this pairing?
A Secret Wedding?
The nuptials were a far cry from a big Hollywood bash. Apparently, Eric and Jasmin decided to ditch the elaborate wedding plans and opted for a tiny church ceremony with just the two of them and a preacher. "They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet," Eddie shared with Jennifer Hudson. He even joked about Martin not having to foot the bill for a huge wedding anymore – now that they're in-laws, ha!
While they kept it small this time, Eddie hinted at a possible larger celebration later on, saying "I think we'll have a big party or something." I’m definitely curious to see how that turns out! Imagine the guest list!

"The audience hates it," he explained. "Sometimes people do it, and they ain't really laughing, and the audience is like, 'He ain't really laughing.'" I have to say, I totally agree with him there. It's always painfully obvious.
He also talked about his experience returning to Saturday Night Live for their 50th anniversary. He described feeling like "part of something," appreciating the show's longevity and history. He seemed genuinely moved by the experience. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy, you know?
