Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone and her husband, filmmaker Dave McCary, have reduced the asking price of their Austin, Texas, estate by $3 million. The couple had originally listed the renovated historic home for $26.5 million, but it is now on the market for $23.5 million.
Located in the upscale Tarrytown neighborhood, the property covers 1.24 acres and includes a 10,000-square-foot main residence with four bedrooms, plus a two-bedroom guest house. Emma and Dave bought the home not long after their daughter was born in 2021, planning to move to Austin. However, their growing professional commitments, especially in New York City where they own a $12 million apartment, have changed their plans.
They are now focused on their production company, Fruit Tree, which has backed award-winning films and series.
The decision to reduce the price comes as Austin’s housing market cools slightly following a period of fast growth. Renovations on the home are nearly complete and expected to finish by summer 2025. The property is still considered one of the most luxurious listings in the city.
