The finale of All Stars 10 brought back two of the favorites from seasons past: the Wildcard Return and Rate-a-Queen twist. Many fans were thrilled to see Kerri Colby return to the competition after appearing as the judges' wildcard. This added fuel to the lip-sync contest and increased anticipation for the possibility of huge lip-sync battles.
The Rate-a-Queen twist was also an exciting addition because it added even more intensity to the performances. Each finalist had to rank the other finalists based on their strength as a lip-syncer. Their rankings determined the pairings for that round resulting in some interesting pairings that the fans wanted to see like:
Ginger Minj vs. Kerri Colby
Jorgeous vs. Aja
Bosco vs. Daya Betty
While not everyone moved forward, others such as Mistress Isabelle Brooks and Irene the Alien had provided an impression on fans prior to the finale as they appeared unannounced. Overall, this season, All Stars 10, was remarkable. New format, surprises with returning queens and fierce performances showcased why Drag Race remains a force in the reality show niche.
Yup ginger won fck this rigged season and never EVER bring her back I hope this gets rated as the worst season of rupauls drag race @RuPaulsDragRace instead of shoving queens down our throats maybe make them likeable and stop making everything rigged #AllStars10 #rupaulsdragrace pic.twitter.com/G0IHtldcmO

Wildcard Twist and Rate-a-Queen Shake Up the Finale
For the All Stars 10 finale, the show revived two of the most thrilling elements from the show’s past installments: the Wildcard Return and Rate-a-Queen twist. When Kerri Colby was selected as the Wildcard by the judges and quickly made her way back into the competition, you could practically feel the anticipation in your living rooms knowing that she was going to battle it out against some of the fiercest competitors they possibly could.
The Rate-a-Queen twist then really up the ante. All the finalists rated all the other queens on their strength in lip-syncing and those rankings determined how the pairs in the finals would be selected, leading to showdowns like:
Ginger Minj vs. Kerri Colby
Jorgeous vs. Aja
Bosco vs. Daya Betty
Not every queen ended up in the finale, but other queens like Mistress Isabelle Brooks and Irene the Alien were unforgettable and clearly left an impression on viewers. It’s exciting that this season has broken the mold from the previous few seasons with its new format, returning surprise competitors, and unforgettable performances that reminded viewers exactly why Drag Race continues to be the leading reality TV show even after all these seasons.
