The countdown to one of the UK’s most loved music festivals has begun. Glastonbury 2025 is all set to take place from June 25 to June 29 at its iconic location—Worthy Farm in Somerset. Known for its incredible energy, diverse performances, and unforgettable surprises, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
More than 3,000 artists will perform across dozens of stages, and fans can expect everything from chart-topping headliners to circus shows, secret sets, and emotional reunions.
Big Headliners and Major Acts Revealed
This year’s Pyramid Stage lineup features some of the biggest names in music. The 1975 will open the weekend on Friday, followed by a Saturday performance from the legendary Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts. The final headlining act on Sunday will be pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, marking her debut on Glastonbury’s biggest stage.
Other major acts include Biffy Clyro, Charli XCX, Alanis Morissette, Doechii, Noah Kahan, and The Prodigy. The full schedule has been released, allowing fans to plan their weekend around their favorite performances.
Exciting Surprises and Special Performances
Glastonbury has always been known for surprise acts and unique moments. This year is no different:
-
Rod Stewart will reunite with members of Faces—Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones—for a special Sunday slot in the “Legends” category. This marks a highly anticipated reunion for the iconic group.
-
A mysterious act named “Patchwork” is listed on the Pyramid Stage schedule, sandwiched between John Fogerty and Raye on Saturday. Many fans are speculating it could be a secret performance by a major global artist.
-
Scottish band The Bluebells will make their first-ever appearance at the festival, credited in part to a recent rise in popularity from a 1990s chart resurgence.
What to Expect from the Opening Night
The festival will begin on Wednesday evening with two opening ceremonies. One ceremony will be held in the Sacred Space of the Green Fields and will include the lighting of the Flame of Hope, a symbolic gesture promoting peace and unity.
There will also be a circus-style aerial show titled Look to the Skies, returning to the Pyramid Stage for the first time since 1990. This show will feature acrobats, tightrope walkers, and a dramatic fireworks display to light up the night.
