The Godiva Festival, Coventry’s largest outdoor music event, will return from Friday 4 July to Sunday 6 July 2025. Taking place at War Memorial Park, the three-day festival aims to once again attract tens of thousands of people, offering a fantastic mix of live music, family entertainment and community aspects.
The festival is organised by Coventry City Council and is firmly established in the summer calendar of the city. Each year, thousands of visitors from Coventry and beyond come out to participate in the festival. In 2024, it was estimated that the Godiva Festival brought around £1.67 million to the local economy. The Godiva Festival 2025 promises to deliver another fantastic weekend of entertainment with a focus on family and accessibility, as well as a wide range of music.
The tickets for this year's event will once again be affordable with day tickets starting at £20 and family tickets starting at £27. Concessions for Go CV+ members will still be available, so that we are continuing to offer affordable music and activities to local residents.
The Godiva Festival 2025 will have a full roster of acts across all 3 stages. Friday night will see Marc Almond and Heather Small opening the weekend. Saturday will feature Clean Bandit, chart-topping DJ Nathan Dawe, and rap duo Young T & Bugsey. Sunday, the festival will close with Ocean Colour Scene as well as Diversity live on stage, not forgetting a family shows featuring Bluey.
There will there main stages:
- Main Stage, this will be the stage for the headline acts.
- Cov Stage, this stage will feature local acts chosen from Godiva Calling talent competition.
- Cov ConneX Kingston Stage, this new addition for 2025 stage will be funded by Arts Council England. This will feature cultural exchange between Coventry and it's twin city Kingston in Jamaica.
Family activities will have a prominent focus once again. The Family Field, which has partnered with Coventry College, will be open all weekend with craft sessions, games, and interactive shows happening. Sunday will be the official Family Day ay the festival, which aims specifically at a younger audience.
The BBC's locale radio station BBC CWR is the official media partner of the festival this year. Live coverage, artist interviews and ticket giveaways are all planned in the run-up to the event. Organizers are confident that this partnership will expose more people to the festival; as well as showcase the cultural importance of the festival across the Midlands.
Godiva Festival has always managed to evolve over time while remaining in touch with the spirit of the local community. The mixture of headline acts, local artists and free family things to do certainly means the festival in 2025 will be one of Coventry's most anticipated weekends of the calendar year.
