Attention all Camp Rock and Jonas Brothers aficionados; brace yourselves for the revelation of a lifetime! Disney’s Joe Jonas leak during a Hot Ones Versus interview is captivating the online world.

What Did Joe Reveal?

 Joe Jonas Sorry Disney

During Hot Ones Versus, Joe Jonas was prompted to read the latest note on his phone. When he read ‘Camp Rock 3’, gasps could be heard as he shattered the joking atmosphere shared between him, Nick and Kevin. Joe, as an afterthought, added ‘sorry Disney’ pretending to apologize for the leak.

Given the nature of the fandom, the speculation and conversation around the franchise has reignited. When the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato reunited on stage and performed the songs, the nostalgia bomb struck. In the wake of all this, whispers of 'Camp Rock 3' have reignited as it’s now feeling more like a reality than a rumor.

Backstory of Camp Rock

The original Camp Rock debuted in 2008 on the Disney Channel. It featured Mitchie (Demi Lovato), a shy but talented girl, who attended a summer music camp and met Shane Gray (Joe). Sparks flew, music played, and pure Disney magic ensued. A sequel came out in 2010: Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. It brought back the Camp Rock crew for a bitter-sweet culmination of the story centered around competition, romance, and more songs.

There were no follow-up plans for either film for a while at least. Over the years, there were whispers here and there. Nick mentioned at some point a joke on an R-rated version and Alyson Stoner (who played Caitlyn) mentioned not being reached out to, but in the end, everything remained vague until now.

A Reunion That Hits Different

The Jonas Brothers kicked off their JONAS20 tour in New Jersey on August 10, 2025. And out of the blue, Demi Lovato joins them on stage. They performed “Gotta Find You,” followed by “This Is Me,” and “Wouldn't Change a Thing.” Fans, myself included, went crazy. It was emotional in the best way—transformative, like reliving the best moments of my childhood in a way I never expected.

Demi described the experience as “healing,” and it’s not hard to understand why. All of that history—creative, emotional, and personal—condensed into a single moment. Captured in the moment were two of the many parts that were fun and profoundly moving during the time: lip-syncing and joking around backstage.

Social Buzz: What Fans are Saying

"How do you have a camp rock movie without the main character 💀..."

What Would Camp Rock 3 Even Be?

If it is happening, I feel like the fans wish to have something that encapsulates the essence of the original—music, character development, emotional depth—but not a retelling of the same plot. Perhaps it’s something like a middle-aged Mitchie and Shane, or maybe a modern camp with new and old kids in mentoring roles, or perhaps it’s something centered around family and legacy.

Like many others, I would greatly appreciate powerful emotional ballads that center around self-discovery while incorporating a hint of nostalgia.

What We Still Don’t Know

  • So far, there are no confirmations coming from Disney. Joe’s comment could have very well been a joke, but it felt like something more to me.
  • The cast is out of the loop. As far as Alyson Stoner goes, no one has told her anything. Demi is there in spirit but has not officially signed, so it would be too soon to tell.
  • When it ends is up for speculation. Some reports say mid-September could be filming, but that strays too far into rumor territory. Disney is tight-lipped.
