Kate Upton and Justin Verlander are now a family of four. The supermodel and Major League Baseball star have added another bundle of joy to their family.
Their second child, a baby boy, who they named Bellamy Brooks Verlander. The couple announced the news on June 20, 2025, just one day after Bellamy was born on June 19.
Upton and Verlander, who wed in 2017, are parents of a daughter, Genevieve, born in 2018. The couple has kept their family family life private, but do provide occasional updates for fans. This baby brings a new chapter for them, and they say both mother and baby are well.
Verlander, who currently pitches for the San Francisco Giants, was put on paternity leave after the birth. The team and fans supported him and his family to take this time during an important time in their lives.

In the midst of motherhood, Kate Upton has also built up her career. In 2024, Kate returned to television by hosting an upcoming Hulu reality series called "Dress My Tour." The focus of the series is to showcase fashion in the music industry and give viewers a behind the scenes look at how performers prepare for life on the road. Upton's hosting was her first television project in years and provided her with a chance to explore the worlds of fame and fashion through a different, creative lens.
Away from the office, Upton has been seen hanging out with her family. In early 2025, she and Verlander were photographed taking a short stroll on the beach in Miami, having their last few moments alone before the arrival of their second child. Although this quiet evening was a rare glimpse into the couple's public and private life together, it was a good indicator of their honest and hard work with the regular life they live.
While Upton and Verlander both have notable careers, they have both taken a concerned approach to keeping their children private. They have shared limited public photos and information they have primarily focused on raising their family privately from the public eye.
Their choices in parenting seem to show their values and to be able to keep what is closest to them—not social media, not press—while carrying on with their own interests and professional pursuits.
