Kevin James made headlines recently when he surprised audiences by showing up on stage with not one, but two major country artists. Coming to the Buckeye Country Superfest in Columbus, Ohio on June 21, James performed some of Jelly Roll's hit song "Need a Favor."  The crowd erupted with cheers as James performed alongside the country artist.

About a month later, on July 12, he was seen on stage again, this time at the Jones Beach Theater in New York with country singer Thomas Rhett.  He filled in to perform a song with Rhett when the original performer could not attend.

James later explained to reporters that these experiences were not booked performances, but rather moments that were sharing with personal friends. Calling Jelly Roll a "wonderful human being" James stated that while he does not foresee a music career in the works, he enjoys entertaining and would even book a Broadway show if it included dancing.

Fans were thrilled online and sang praises about his stage presence and charisma. This proves that the charm of this actor goes well beyond the screen.

New Film ‘Guns Up’ Debuts as Grown Ups 3 Rumors Grow

Kevin James has a big summer ahead of him with the theatrical release of his new film, Guns Up, on July 18. James plays a former cop Ray Hayes who is part of a crime family, who's not going to take any flack from anyone - especially when it comes to his loved ones. The film co-stars Christina Ricci, Luis Guzmán, and Leo Kelly.

This is James's biggest movie release of 2025, which features a fast-paced story with a unique cast. His is also his return to a more action-adventure role.

In addition to the film, he hinted that his comedy franchise Grown Ups could be a third installment on the horizon. In a recent interview, James stated that "something's happening," which seemed to hint to the fandom there might be a sequel being developed.

While there is nothing out there that has been officially mentioned, it has sparked interest from longtime fans of the franchise.

All in all, with his film release, stage appearances, and tour for comedy act set for September, it is certainly a busy year for Kevin James.
