Hollywood is humming, now that Kim Kardashian is going to premiere in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming legal drama All’s Fair. The Hulu series, expected to premiere later this year, was already receiving buzz from Hollywood insiders about its launch and star-power due to the many notable actors, however, it was some comments from Sarah Paulson about Kardashian that really shocked audiences.

As a longtime collaborator of Murphy’s, Paulson mentioned she found Kardashian "hilarious, yet also honestly, very professional." When she talked about filming she went on to say Kardashian was "very funny," but "very professional," noting that she arrived prepared and ready to work.

Even more impressive to Paulson was Kardashian being funny and also being a professional. "She didn't take herself literally, but took the work very seriously," Paulson explained. Paulson continued to explain, they were able to maintain their energy on the show, but also any time where they could make each other laugh made for a far more enjoyable work environment to film in.

Sarah Paulson Praises Kim’s Dedication

Paulson pointed out that Kardashian’s commitment was demonstrated in ways other than just learning lines. She noted that Kardashian was often studying on breaks between shooting hours, balancing her role in front of the camera with her studies, and this level of commitment, according to Paulson, made Kardashian a force on set and gained Kardashian the respect of the other cast members.

But Paulson said Kardashian’s professionalism wasn’t the only impressive aspect of their co-star, but her sense of humor too. According to Paulson, Kardashian brought a lot of laughter to long shooting days, and the way she jovially kept the energy high while concentrating on her performance was special.

All’s Fair is expected to showcase this juxtaposition when it airs. Kardashian plays the character Allura Grant, a bitterly trenchant divorce lawyer caught in high-stakes cases and personal drama. Paulson joins forces with Hollywood legends Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, and Teyana Taylor in the ensemble cast, many of whom, including Kardashian, also acted as executive producers.

The courtroom drama follows an all-female law firm, and According to buzz, it will be a stylish mixture of courtroom stakes and character-focused drama. Interestingly, Close was reluctant to take her role—as she was concerned she would simply be replicating her work in the role of Patty Hewes in Damages—but Murphy convinced her to take the leap, promising this could be something fresh.

A Star-Studded Drama to Watch

With Murphy’s history and a fantastic cast, All’s Fair is poised to be one of fall’s biggest premieres. For Kardashian, it could be a pivotal moment in her acting career. Although she did appear in American Horror Story: Delicate, All’s Fair is her first leading role in a scripted series.

With Paulson’s praise, Kardashian is clearly ready to showcase herself as someone other than a reality TV star and billionaire brand mogul. If the on-set camaraderie is any indicator, audiences can expect great performances, quick-witted dialogue, and a lot of drama when the series debuts on Hulu.
