Machine Gun Kelly had a rare public appearance with his 15-year-old daughter Casie on Saturday at the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards held in Santa Monica, California. The duo shared an orange carpet experience before making an appearance on stage together in the event's timing for MGK's performance.
Casie introduced her father’s performance of his new single, “Cliché,” by calling him her "hype man," which MGK corrected as her "cheerleader." A lighthearted moment that let the audience experience their relationship with each other.
This marked MGK and Casie's first public event together since 2019 and made the moment more special for fan. While the rapper-turned-singer likes to keep his family life discreet, he used the occasion to show a very personal side of himself. Casie also spoke briefly on becoming a big sister and said she likes getting to spend time with her little sibling.
Their appearance came just weeks after MGK left the American Music Awards early to return home and care for his newborn daughter, Saga Blade, with actress Megan Fox, who had a little fever. MGK explained that being there for his family was far more important than staying at the award show.
MGK continues to focus on his music career, but he has his hands full with life as a father to a teenager and newborn. He recently revealed that he wrote a lullaby with waxing a ukulele for his baby daughter Saga, he also gave kudos to Megan Fox for really being dedicated, and stated that Fox has taken care of all of the hard work that comes with raising a newborn.
In MGK's words, Fox ventured into the "no sleep club", while he tries to provide joy and lighthearted moments. He mentioned parentingtear parenting is not easy on anyone, it’s especially difficult for maternity, and he is grateful for Fox's hard work.
MSK is also prepping for the release of his next album, Lost Americana, due August 8, 2025. He released his new single, ''Cliché," in May, a sneak peek of sorts. The album will likely be a combination of rock and pop-punk sounds, with MGK saying it is "a happy project in a dark time."
He has teased at the potential of more music possibly in other styles as he continues to play and try new creative directions. Even though MGK has so much going on in his life, he continues to prioritize family as a first-level commitment.
Writing songs for his children and performing live enters MGK into a new chapter of his life and career where he continues to blend parenthood and music.
