The couple posted on social media they had welcomed baby girl Colette Annalise McCaffrey into the world on July 13, 2025. They shared black and white images from the hospital holding Colette.
In the first image, you can see McCaffrey holding Olivia's hand while she is in labor. The second image shows the NFL running back gazing down at his baby girl asleep in a bassinet. The couple captioned their post with a simple white heart and their daughter's full name with the date she was born above it, Colette Annalise McCaffrey, July 13, 2025.
Olivia also shared her experience in a short message where she said, "childbirth is the scariest and most rewarding of all experiences." She went on to relay that she felt a sense of calm the minute McCaffrey stepped into the room and described him as her greatest comfort during labor. She also added in an Instagram Story, "Colette is so lucky to have the best daddy in the world. A love like no other."
News of their announcement spread fast, with fans, other celebrities, and even athletes quickly stepping forward to congratulate the new parents.
A Personal Journey to Parenthood
Culpo and McCaffrey have shared various details about their relationship, but they remained quiet and private about most of Olivia’s gestation until it felt appropriate to discuss it. They shared the news of the pregnancy in March 2025, along with their maternity shoot and the caption “Next Chapter: mother.”
Though, behind the curtain, the journey to parenthood was not without bumps in the road, as Olivia shared she had pneumonia early in her pregnancy and was diagnosed with subchorionic hematoma, which ultimately required her being on bedrest for some weeks. Now, mother and baby are both healthy.
The name Colette Annalise has significance for the couple. "Colette" has connotation of strength and victory while "Annalise" has connotation of grace. Friends of the couple report that they spent considerable time choosing names that reflect the attributes they want for their daughter.
Culpo and McCaffrey started dating in 2019 before getting engaged in April 2023. On June 2024, they married each other near Culpo’s hometown in Rhode Island in a private ceremony. While they've been considered an extremely admired celebrity couple during their relationship, they have shared very little of their life together in the social media or public eye – aside from appearing at high profile events together.
With the arrival of Colette, they are entering a new phase—parenthood. While Olivia tries to recover and spend time with their daughter, McCaffrey is getting ready to go back to work as the 49ers began preparing for the upcoming NFL season.
