Parklife 2025 Delivers Star Power and Swift Safety Response at Heaton Park

Parklife Festival returned to Heaton Park in Manchester this weekend for its 15th edition, drawing huge crowds and some of the world’s top music stars.

Big names like 50 Cent, Charli XCX, and Jorja Smith took the stage, alongside electronic acts like Peggy Gou and BICEP, keeping the energy high across multiple stages.

Festival-goers enjoyed over 100 performances spread out across new and returning stages such as The Valley, Hangar, Big Top, Magic Sky, and the newly introduced Matinée stage, which featured a 360° DJ booth for a more immersive experience.

On Sunday, things took a brief turn during DJ Josh Baker’s set at the Matinée stage. A large crowd had gathered just as heavy rain began to fall.

For safety reasons, event organizers temporarily paused the performance and closed off the area to manage the flow of people. Staff responded quickly and allowed the show to continue once it was safe to do so.

This year’s event included upgraded crowd control measures and a more central VIP area. Festival officials reminded attendees of gate timings and suggested using trams and shuttle buses due to high foot traffic.

Ticket prices remained strong, with weekend passes starting at £135 and single-day tickets around £85.

The event has helped draw attention to Manchester's music scene and is expected to boost local tourism, with more than a million visitors expected over the summer.

Parklife continues to balance big-name entertainment with a strong focus on safety and organization, proving once again why it remains one of the UK’s top summer festivals.
