Amazon's acclaimed action series Reacher has been renewed for a fourth season, and it has already commenced production. Once again, Alan Ritchson will be reprising his title role, and this season will be based on Lee Child's novel Gone Tomorrow. This is the 13th installment in the Reacher book series, and promises suspense and plenty of twists and action.
In Gone Tomorrow Reacher witnesses a mysterious suicide on a New York City subway. What seems like a disturbing yet sensational incident evolves into a dangerous investigation related to politics, secret government operations, and a conspiracy connected to the death of the victim. The story takes place in New York City, and surrounding Reacher is a complicated web of lies and danger.
New to the show for this season are Jay Baruchel as Jacob Merrick, Marc Blucas as Congressman John Samson, and Sydelle Noel as Detective Tamara Green, with Kathleen Robertson and Kevin Weisman also on the cast. Indonesian singers Agnez Mo and Anggun are also attached to the show, but the details of their characters have not been released.
Amazon announced Season 4 before Season 3 even hit the platform, which shows a strong commitment. Filming is expected to start in mid-2025. There is not a premiere date yet, but based on S3 filming timelines, S4 is expected to end up at Prime Video around the year of this writing - 2026.
In addition to the main series, Amazon is adding to the Reacher world with a new spinoff series focused on Frances Neagley, one of the principal characters in the previous seasons. Maria Sten, who plays Neagley, is helming the new series. Principal production for the spinoff is now complete. Filming took place in Toronto, wrapping in June 2025.
At this time, it is not known whether Neagley will appear in Season 4 of Reacher, as if the timeline of the spinoff is based before or during the events of a new season, it is possible to see Neagley at some point. Either way, the spinoff is another expression of the streaming platform’s ambition to build a universe around Jack Reacher.
Since it debuted, Reacher has recorded some of Prime Video's highest viewership of any original show. The series has been applauded for its fidelity to Lee Child's novels, performances, and great story. With Season 4 in the works, and the spinoff planned, Reacher fans can expect much more in the Reacher world soon.
