runDisney has revealed its full race schedule for the 2025-2026 season, giving Disney fans and running lovers plenty of options to choose from! This season brings in-person races at Disney World and Disneyland as well as virtual races where runners can participate from anywhere in the world.

One of the standout events is the return of the Love on the Run 14-Miler Virtual Race, taking place between February 1-28, 2025. Runners can choose between running 2, 5, 7, or 14 miles, and can complete the distance and any course they want! Everyone who completes their race will be sent a limited-edition medal home.

Another big highlight this year will be the 10th anniversary of the runDisney Virtual Series. The series runs from June 1, 2025 to August 31, 2025, and allows people to participate from anywhere while earning medals based on Disney attractions. It is an awesome way for runners that are not able to do in-person races to still keep active and immerse in the experience.

The new season encapsulates runDisney’s commitment to being welcoming/disruptive to all levels of runners from all levels of walkers, speed walkers, experienced runners, etc. The events are made to be fun and not intimidating to all.

Also part of the 2025–2026 runDisney season is the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend on September 4 through 7, 2025. The Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend adds some fright to the fun of racing, with each distance featuring a different Disney villain!

Here is a sneak peek of the medals that will be available:

  • 5K – Ursula
  • 10K – Cruella de Vil
  • Half Marathon – Maleficent
  • Chills & Thrills Challenge - Hades with Pain and Panic

These awesome medals with fantastic designs are part of what makes runDisney a special experience. Each race does a great job of combining storytelling, costumes, and quality design to embody what makes Disney special. The typical participant also dresses up as their favorite Disney character (look below for a glimpse of each of the race distances!) adding to a lively, memorable event!

There is a team of Disney artists and planners behind every run at Disney. They work really hard to ensure every detail is top quality, from when you sign-up, to race day. When runners arrive on site, or if they complete a run in their hometown, they can expect the same excitement and quality, thanks to the remarkable detail provided by the Disney event management team.

Likewise, runDisney provides unique, and exciting experiences for all types of runners with events happening year-round and across the Country.
