Before his departure, Haknyeon had already taken a break from group activities to focus on personal matters. His decision to leave came shortly after the group signed with a new agency, ONE HUNDRED, following their exit from IST Entertainment in late 2024.
The group also dealt with some recent controversies. Some members of the group—Juyeon, Hyunjae, and Sangyeon—were recently involved in rumors online about things like dating, smoking, and going to parties.
Their agency responded strongly, saying they would take legal action against false stories and would not tolerate any defamation.
Despite all the challenges, THE BOYZ continues to stay active. They released a comeback album titled Unexpected on March 17, 2025, which marked their first project under ONE HUNDRED. Fans have shown strong support, helping the group move forward with confidence.
Earlier this year, the group also pulled out of the Seoul Spring Festa. Although the reason was not made public, fans believe the withdrawal was due to disagreements between their agency and a major broadcaster, not because of internal group issues.
Now with ten members, THE BOYZ is adjusting to a new phase. They remain focused on music and continuing their journey with fans around the world.
