The Conjuring: Last Rites set new records and entertained audiences across the globe, generating an incredible $495 million around the world - the largest global opening number in the history of the Conjuring franchise. It debuted to $194 million worldwide, including $84 million in the U.S., demonstrating that supernatural stories are still engaging viewers everywhere.
Release Date and Streaming Availability: Watch on HBO Max Now
After a successful theater opening on September 5, 2025, the film was established for release on HBO Max for streaming beginning on November 21, 2025. That soon allows horror fans to watch the final case for the Warrens from the comfort of their homes or spend their entire day bingeing the nine films in the franchise. In appointment viewing, TV viewers can watch it on linear HBO, on Saturday, November 22 at 8 PM ET, and DVD and Blu-ray release will be available on November 25.

Storyline & Cast: Warren Family’s Final Stand
In "Last Rites," directed by Michael Chaves, we once again visit the real-life Smurl family haunting from which Ed and Lorraine Warren began their legendary journey. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return to their roles of the paranormal investigators, but in their most personal story yet, as they face a cursed mirror and a terrifying evil in Pennsylvania.
Franchise Finale: Is It Really the End?
Although this was marketed as the concluding chapter, speculation still exists. The film indeed wraps up the story of the Warrens in a beautiful fashion, but the large return at the box office would suggest there may be some legacy to the franchise which may involve more spin-offs or could involve the story of the Warrens in prequel stories. Reports have stated that HBO Max may develop a series based off of the younger Warrens, but this is still unconfirmed.
