• Perry later apologized via text and suggested that he put together a deal for work as a way of making it up to Dixon for the touching incident.

Dixon also claims to have believed that the violent death of his character on the show The Oval came as intimidation tactic, meaning that his career depended on making Perry happy.

Dixon has talked about the emotional toll on him. He said the episodes gave him anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Tyler Perry’s Defense

Tyler Perry has rejected all allegations. Perry's attorney, Matthew Boyd, issued a strong statement calling the lawsuit a “shakedown” and said that Perry “will not be shakedown.” 

Perry's team contends that the claims are entirely false and that Dixon is targeting Perry only because of Perry's success and wealth. 

This firm denial indicates both sides are engaged in preparing for a long and arduous legal battle.
