Production Shifts to Ireland: A Visual Change
The second season of the show was filmed in Ireland, which replaced the Romanian setting of season one. Other filming locations include Co. Offaly Charleville Castle, Ashford Studios, Trinity College, and Dean’s Grange Cemetery.
The cast commended the Irish landscapes and the warmth of the locals. Jenna Ortega described filming as “wonderful” and referred to the Irish as kind. Joanna Lumley described Ireland as “otherworldly” while Steve Buscemi joked he had developed a taste for Guinness during off-set filming.
Behind the Hype: Controversies and Praise
Jenna Ortega was spotted at the premiere in Dublin interacting with fans which had her overwhelmed. This was filmed and went viral, raising concerns about her wellbeing as a result of the fans screaming for her to the point of hysteria.
The show as well as the critics apparently fans are loving. The general consensus for both critics as well as the fans is that the scope of the show which is the second part is a lot more wider. It is receiving mixed reactions with some fans saying that it is huge in size but with no culmination as to the “focus” element of it or what it wants to achieve making it less captivating.
The Other Lady Gaga
With “Dead Dance” being released with the show in the 5th episode, it will premiere in September. The hype for Gaga “Bloody Mary” was driven on Tik Tok, and with her gaining popularity on the site makes her songs likely to see a tonal shift revolve around it enhancing as such to go viral as well.

Why It Matters & What Fans Should Know
The focus of this character arc is on intensity and personal stakes. Wednesday is more challenging and the surrounding world is darker. We all remember from Season 1 that humor is light, because this is unchanged gothic mystery.
The two-part release stokes and prolongs two distinct viewers’ centers of anticipation. Ireland, while remaining within the franchise’s dark aesthetic, provides an entirely new setting and new visual Ireland.
This season feels personal and a bit unsettling. If you’re into gothic storytelling with strong visuals, fresh cast members, and paranormal mystery—this one’s for you. Let me know if you’d like a hooky intro, internal linking suggestions, poll ideas, or visuals to add engagement!
