Ford Instrument Panel Recall: Ford is recalling 355,656 trucks in the United States because of a software defect that can allow the Instrument Panel Display (IPC) to remain blank when the vehicle starts.
This means that the driver may suddenly no longer know safety information for a short time, like speed, fuel level, any illuminated warning lights, and any safety information that may «pop up», creating an increased risk of accident.
Which Vehicles are Affected?
The recall covers popular F-Series models, including:
-
2025 Ford F-150
-
2025–2026 Ford Super Duty trucks (F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550)
How Will Ford Fix It?
Ford will fix the issue free of charge through:
-
Over-the-Air (OTA) updates (customers won’t need to visit a dealership), or
-
Dealership software updates for those who prefer in-person service.
Notification letters to owners are expected to start from early September 2025.
