Skoda Kylaq Gets Cheaper with GST 2.0

Skoda Auto India has announced a major price cut on its popular SUV, the Skoda Kylaq, following the rollout of the new GST structure. The company will pass on 100% of the GST 2.0 benefit to customers, reducing the ex-showroom prices of all Kylaq variants from September 22, 2025.

This price drop comes as part of the Indian government’s revised GST rates for sub-4-metre petrol cars with engine capacity up to 1,200 cc. These cars will now attract 18% GST instead of nearly 29% earlier, making them significantly cheaper for buyers.

Limited-Time Offers Before September 21

Skoda has confirmed that customers who buy the Kylaq before September 21 can still enjoy the same level of benefit as the new GST price drop, as part of its limited-time festive offer. This ensures buyers do not miss out on savings if they want immediate delivery.

Why This Price Cut Matters

This is one of the biggest price reductions in this segment in recent years. The Skoda Kylaq competes with SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate, and this move makes it more competitive.

The lower GST rate not only helps reduce ex-showroom prices but also slightly lowers the on-road cost, as insurance and road tax are calculated on the base price.

Other Skoda Cars Get Cheaper Too

Along with the Kylaq, Skoda has also reduced prices of:

• Skoda Kushaq – up to ₹ 65,000 off

• Skoda Slavia – up to ₹ 63,000 off

• Skoda Kodiaq – up to ₹ 3.28 lakh off
