Warner Bros. has officially delayed the upcoming movie Mortal Kombat II by seven months. The film was earlier set to release on October 24, 2025, but will now hit theaters on May 15, 2026.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the sequel is already complete, but the studio moved the release to position it better in the summer blockbuster season, where it is expected to attract larger audiences. The shift also avoids competition with other big titles coming later this year.
