What is Mrs. America Pageant
The Mrs. America Pageant, founded in 1977, acknowledges the accomplishments and contributions of married women in the United States. Pageantry is unlike traditional beauty contests. Their focus is on personal effect, including, but not limited to: interviews, evening gown, and service to community. Past winners have become advocates, entrepreneurs, and international title holders, to name a few.
Why This Win is Important
Georgia Paige's title not only represents pride for her state, but also recognizes her commitment to the social issues and causes she cares about. As she transitions into preparation for Mrs. World, pageant watchers believe she will be able to back up her title pursuit, and join other iconic representatives who have carried America's legacy internationally.
