Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton have added to their family with the birth of a new child. The actor made the announcement via social media recently and fans from all around the world are showering the couple with support.
Who is Zawe Ashton
Emma Muwanga-Ashton was born Zawedde Emma Muwanga-Ashton on July 25, 1984, in London and came from an inspiring family background with her mother being employed at tennis events and her father managing real estate. She started acting as a child when she appeared in the film The Demon Headmaster (1996).
After receiving her education at Wandsworth Preparatory School and Queen's Gate School, she went on to attend the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School for Drama. At that point in time, she was already fully engrossed in working in the theatre.

Thomas William Hiddleston was born on February 9, 1981, in London. Hiddleston grew up in an energetic household with his mother working as a stage manager and his father owning a pharmaceutical company. After being educated at some of the best schools in the United Kingdom (such as Eton and Cambridge), he developed an interest in classical literature and dramatic arts, before completing drama training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA).
In 1999, he made his stage debut in "Journey's End". Following this success, Hiddleston appeared on television in "Nicholas Nickleby" and "The Gathering Storm".

At Tom's movie premiere in the UK, The Life of Chuck, at SXSW London, fans noticed that the outfit Zawe wore, a light blue gown, accentuated her pregnant form. Zawe told Vogue that she was grateful for Tom's presence that night and felt fortunate to have his support.

In October, the couple welcomed a baby boy and, as with all aspects of their lives, have been very private regarding the baby. Zawe first gave the hint about her pregnancy at the screening of her film "Mr. Malcolm's List" when she wore an amazing beaded dress designed by Sabina Bilenko that highlighted her baby bump and caught the attention of fans.
Tom had been keeping quiet about the situation but looked absolutely thrilled in interviews. The child has never been identified or shown in public so that he will not be affected by the media. The arrival of this little boy signified their newly formed relationship status as parents soon after becoming engaged.
Second Baby Birth 2025
In December 2025, after just having their second child, Tom revealed their arrival through a GQ Magazine profile. He called their experience with childbirth "beautiful and profound" and described it as a total game changer in the best possible way.
Fans first got to hear about this child through photos from the premiere of The Life Of Chuck in June 2025, where Zawe wore a white dress designed by Emilia Wickstead and had on the most amazing cape. She displayed her baby bump very proudly while Tom looked at her with such pride and joy on his face.
As with the couple's first child, no names, sexes or photos have been released yet. Their family will spend some more quiet time together getting to know one another just like they did with their first-born.

The timeline for the couple's story is also very fulfilling with a Stage 1 episode (in 2019) followed by two children (in 2025). We know that Tom's sister had a child around the same timeline, so the joy for the family has multiplied.
