If you’ve got a PlayStation and you’re subscribed to PS Plus, you’ll probably want to know what new games are dropping in June. Sony just dropped the list, and honestly, it’s looking pretty solid. Starting June 3, anyone with the PS Plus Essential plan can grab three new games for free. Just make sure you add them to your library before June 30. After that, they’re gone from the free lineup.

NBA 2K25 – If You Love Hoops, This One’s for You

Alright, first up is NBA 2K25. If you’re into basketball games, you’ve probably played this series before. But this one? It’s got something called ProPlay tech, which just makes everything look and feel more real. Like, the movements are smoother, the shots feel more natural, and it’s just... better overall. There’s also the usual stuff like MyCareer (where you build your player’s journey) and The W (focused on the women’s league). It’s great for both hardcore fans and folks who just wanna shoot some hoops after work.

Alone in the Dark – Spooky Vibes, Big Names

This next one’s kinda creepy, but in a good way. It’s called Alone in the Dark, and it’s a remake of an old horror game. They brought in some big actors too—David Harbour and Jodie Comer—and it honestly adds a lot to the vibe. The game mixes horror and mystery, so you’re not just getting jump scares; you’re solving stuff, exploring dark places, and trying not to freak out. It’s got a cool story and looks pretty slick too.Now this one’s super fun and colorful. Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is kind of like Jet Set Radio, if you ever played that back in the day. You’re skating or biking through a neon city, tagging walls with graffiti, and dodging cops. It’s all about speed and style. The music is awesome, and even though it’s kinda chaotic, that’s what makes it fun. Perfect if you’re into arcade-style action with a ton of personality.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape – Big Ending for a Big Story

This one technically launches May 28, but it’s still worth talking about for June. The Final Shape is the last part of Destiny’s long story arc about Light and Darkness. If you’ve followed Destiny even a little, you’ll probably want to check this out. They’ve added new subclasses, gear, and some pretty intense missions. It feels like the end of a long journey, so if you’ve ever been into Destiny, now’s the time to jump back in.

If you’re paying for the Extra or Premium plans, you’re in for a few more treats:

  • Another Crab’s Treasure (May 29): You’re a crab. With armor. Fighting things underwater. It’s weird but surprisingly fun.

  • Skull and Bones (June 2): Pirate game. Big ships. Open seas. Definitely something different.

  • Destiny 2: Legacy Collection (June 4): All the older Destiny content bundled together.

  • GTA III – Definitive Edition (June 10): The classic game, just cleaned up with better graphics and controls.

Also, classic puzzle games Myst and Riven are hitting the Premium tier on June 5. So if you like slow-paced brain games, they might be worth a look.

Last Chance to Get May’s Free Games

Don’t forget—May’s games are still free until June 2. After that, they’re out:

  • Ark: Survival Ascended

  • Balatro

  • Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun

If any of those sound interesting, grab them now. Even if you’re not playing them yet, just adding them to your library keeps them yours as long as you stay subscribed.

Where to Download All This

If you want to grab these games, it’s super simple. Just go to the PlayStation Plus section on your PS4 or PS5. Or head over to the PlayStation website and log in there. They’ll all show up once they’re live on their release dates.
