WWE legend The Undertaker, real name Mark Calaway, recently revealed that he had heart surgery right after making a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 41.
This personal update came during the debut episode of his new podcast “Six Feet Under,” which he hosts alongside his wife and former WWE star Michelle McCool.
Michelle shared that The Undertaker had been feeling unwell weeks before the event. After medical testing, doctors diagnosed him with chronic atrial fibrillation (AFib), a condition where the heart beats irregularly.
This condition can lead to serious health problems if not treated in time. Doctors also discovered that his ejection fraction—the percentage of blood the heart pumps—was dangerously low at just 30%, compared to the healthy range of 55% to 70%.

Despite this, The Undertaker still went ahead and appeared at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. Michelle explained that he had already spent four nights in the hospital before the show, receiving medication and an electric procedure called cardioversion to reset his heartbeat.
While this treatment worked temporarily, his heart soon fell back into an unhealthy rhythm, making surgery the safest option.
The day after the event, The Undertaker was admitted to the hospital early in the morning for a heart procedure. Michelle said the doctors were confident, and the surgery was successful. They were able to fix the rhythm of his heart, and the most serious danger has now passed.
She added that this was a very scary time for both of them, but they are thankful things were caught and treated early.
Since the surgery, The Undertaker has been recovering well. According to Michelle, he is getting stronger every day and following all the advice from his medical team.
They both emphasized how important it is to listen to your body and take health issues seriously, even when you feel you can push through.
Their podcast gives fans a closer look into their lives, not just as wrestling legends but as people dealing with everyday struggles and major life events. This episode, in particular, struck a chord with listeners for its honesty and emotion.
It’s unusual to see this emotional side of The Undertaker, especially since he spent many years playing a quiet and tough character in the wrestling ring.
The news has sparked a wave of support from fans, who have expressed love and good wishes for his recovery.
The Undertaker’s story serves as a reminder that even our biggest heroes face health challenges, and caring for yourself should always come first.
