Wimbledon 2025 starts June 30 with top seeds like Alcaraz, Sinner, and Sabalenka. Finals set for July 12–13. Here's what to know before it begins.

Mark your calendars! The Wimbledon Championship is kicking off on Monday, June 30th, and will run straight through to Sunday, July 13th, 2025. It's all going down at the iconic All England Club over in London.

Wimbledon is one of the biggest tournaments on the tennis calendar and for 2025, this years has a lineup that is made up of multiple famous players as well as some upcoming talents.

First up, the women's final will be on July 12th. The men's singles final will then close out the tournament on July 13th. Qualifying began in Roehampton and will end by June 26. The qualifying draw will take place on Friday, June 27.

The top players are expected to be there. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner is in place to be the first seed. Carlos Alcaraz, the reigning Wimbledon champion, has just wrapped up a win at the Queen's Club in London, alongside an 18-match winning streak on grass, and sits in second seed behind Sinner; he is entering Wimbledon as a favorite for yet another good run also once again at a favourate tournament of mine.

Alexander Zverev received the No. 3 seed, while Jack Draper made headlines as the No. 4 seed with the highest seeding for a British man in Wimbledon since Andy Murray. Other notable seeds include men seeded 5-8 including Taylor Fritz, Novak Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti, and Holger Rune. 

On the women's side, Aryna Sabalenka leads the tournament as the No. 1 seed, followed by Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Jasmine Paolini. Iga Swiatek, who has triumphed on clay courts in the past few seasons, comes into Wimbledon as the No. 8 seed—the lowest seeding for her at a major since 2021.

Last season's winner Barbora Krejcikova has a seeding of No. 17.

Updates on Players, Coverage and What's New This Year

There have already been some significant updates going into this year’s tournament -- some notable absentees. Casper Ruud, a top 20 player, has withdrawn due to a knee injury. His absence will clearly change the draw, particularly in the men's draw.

Petra Kvitova will be making her long-awaited return after maternity leave. She received her wildcard after taking time off for maternity leave, and will be playing at Wimbledon for the first time since becoming a mother. 

Fans watching from home will have a lot of ways to watch. In the UK, coverage will be broadcast on BBC 1, BBC 2, and BBC iPlayer. In the U.S. matches will be on ESPN and ESPN+, plus other streaming services like Hulu Live and Youtube TV. Internationally, fans can also watch through networks like Eurosport and beIN Sports.

Though the total prize money is not officially confirmed yet, we expect the singles title winners each to be take home £3 million each, along with 2000 ATP or WTA ranking points.

Wimbledon 2025 will not only showcase familiar faces, but also younger players and under the radar players playing their first tournament or looking to make a deeper run.
