The WWE Monday Night RAW episode that occurred on September 15, 2025, was held at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, and it was an important date on the path to Wrestlepalooza. The episode was full of passionate promos, incredible matches, and unexpected twists in storylines.
This RAW had somewhat of everything: legends returned, drama in the women’s division, intense rivalries, and tag team action. Let’s break it all down by segment.
Show Atmosphere
The spectators were enthusiastic and very noisy. With Springfield being close to the area where John Cena spent much, if not all, of his college days, the atmosphere was lively from the start. WWE also placed RAW in an earlier time slot so they could compete with ratings against Monday Night Football.
Fans wanted some build-up for the noteworthy matches on the Wrestlepalooza card and WWE gave the fans just enough to keep the enthusiasm.

Major Storylines & Promos
John Cena Promo: Compelling and respectful, but the audience was expecting physicality with Lesnar. Cena's cutting edge gave off the impression he could potentially end his run and legacy sooner rather than later.
Bayley Returns to Save Lyra: The fans erupted when Bayley burst in to save Valkyria from danger. It felt like a nostalgic match for her character. Perhaps this could set a tone for a new direction for her character.
Punk & AJ Lee vs Rollins & Becky Lynch: A very heated confrontation backstage. Punk and AJ called out Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch and the tension began to boil. AJ Lee took a Uranage from Becky, which raised some questions about her neck injury and if she could wrestle at Wrestlepalooza.
Uso Family Drama: Tensions were high on the Uso front with Jey, Jimmy, and LA Knight. Jey spearing LA Knight at the conclussion set up another possible feud or betrayal.
Strengths & Weaknesses
What Went Well:
Diverse matches (women's division, singles, tag).
Emotional promos (Cena, Punk/AJ vs Rollins/Lynch).
Unexpected return angle with Bayley.
Strong build to Wrestlepalooza.
What Did Not Go as Well:
Cena's segment was lacking a big surprise or Lesnar appearance.
Some of the matches fell into a predictable or rushed feel.
Heavy reliance on interference tropes.
