Pride in London is on track to return this year on Saturday, July 5 when hundreds of thousands of people will come together to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. The annual parade will begin at 12 p.m. at Hyde Park Corner and take route through Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket and Trafalgar Square to finish at Whitehall Place.
Organizers think there could be more than 1.5 million spectators watching as approximately 35,000 participants from over 500 groups take part in the parade. Participants in the procession will include community groups, charities, and larger corporate sponsors as well, creating a colorful parade. A parade like this is free of charge to attend and open for all people to enjoy.
This year's celebration remains firmly committed to inclusion, visibility, and equality. It also represents another advancement toward LGBTQ+ rights and community visibility in the UK and in the world.
Along with the parade, the day will include live entertainment, guest speakers, and lots of activities in central London.
Music and live entertainment are an enormous part of the Pride experience. The main stage in Trafalgar Square will host headline performances, including a special guest appearance from the legendary music artist and activist, Chaka Khan, who is known for her classics, "Ain't Nobody" and "I'm Every Woman." With Khan's incredible career and Grammy award-winning accolades, we would expect a huge crowd at the square.
In addition to Chaka Khan, other artists performing at Trafalgar Square will be Durand Bernarr, Eurovision 2025 winner JJ, drag performer La Voix, and others. The show will be hosted by Will Njobvu and Asifa Lahore, and surprise special guests include Frankie Grande and John Cameron Mitchell.
The additional entertainment will take place on five other stages in different locations throughout the city:
- At the Leicester Square Stage, women and non-binary performers including girli, Chloe Star, and Don One will be featured.
- At the Golden Square World Stage, there will be line up of a more global artists including Amaria BB, Vanity Milan and Lexxicon.
