The Trump Organization has entered the mobile phone business with the launch of Trump Mobile, a new wireless service and smartphone brand. The announcement was made on June 16, 2025, by Donald Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, exactly ten years after Donald Trump began his 2016 presidential campaign.
The launch includes a wireless service plan and a new smartphone called the T1 Phone, which is being marketed with strong patriotic themes.
The company says the goal is to provide Americans with an alternative phone service that emphasizes American values and U.S.-based support.
The Trump Mobile service is offering a monthly plan priced at $47.45, symbolically linked to Donald Trump’s bid to become the 47th president. This plan provides unlimited calls, texts, and data, and comes with a few additional services such as telehealth consultations, 24-hour roadside help, and free international calling to over 100 countries.
Rather than operating its own network, Trump Mobile is using infrastructure from major U.S. carriers like AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
This model, known as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), allows the service to offer nationwide coverage without building its own cell towers.
Alongside the plan, the company introduced the T1 Phone, priced at $499. This gold-colored device includes 256GB of internal storage and is available for pre-order. Customers can reserve it by paying a $100 deposit, with shipments expected to start later in August or September 2025.
While the phone is promoted as being built in the United States, reports have revealed that the initial devices are being manufactured in China. The company has stated that it intends to shift production to the U.S. in the future and is working to set up domestic facilities.

Concerns About Political Ties and Ethics
The launch of Trump Mobile has brought up ethical concerns due to Donald Trump’s ongoing political role. Although his sons now oversee the Trump Organization, he still benefits financially from its ventures. This has led some to question whether launching a mobile business while involved in politics creates a conflict of interest.
Some experts are concerned that the company’s connection to Trump could influence or appear to influence federal agencies, such as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which oversees telecommunications. Critics argue that this relationship could raise doubts about fair treatment or regulatory decisions related to the mobile industry.
Despite these concerns, Trump Mobile continues to promote its brand as an “America First” option in the telecom market. Supporters believe it will appeal to conservative customers who want services that align with their values.
It remains uncertain how well the company will perform in a competitive market dominated by long-standing players. However, its focus on patriotism, unique branding, and bundled services may help it attract a loyal user base.
Trump Mobile is now open for sign-ups, with its first phone and service plan available to customers nationwide.
