Hello Readers,
Did you hear?
The US launched another wave of airstrikes on Iran!

The United States conducted a 90-minute, two-wave precision air campaign targeting Iran's military infrastructure around the Greater Tunb Island and the Strait of Hormuz, a chokepoint through which nearly 20% of global oil trade passes. The strikes focused on coastal defence batteries, anti-ship cruise missile launch sites, missile storage bunkers, radar installations, drone facilities, and command-and-control centres used by Iran to monitor and threaten commercial shipping. Precision-guided munitions launched from U.S. combat aircraft were employed to destroy high-value military assets while limiting collateral damage. The operation formed part of a broader effort to degrade Iran's maritime strike capability and air-defence network, and restore freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. What else?
Iran retaliated by attacking US-allies in the region!

Iran responded with one of its largest coordinated retaliatory operations, launching waves of ballistic missiles and armed drones at U.S. military installations in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. The strikes targeted air bases, logistics hubs and command facilities supporting American operations in the Gulf, prompting widespread activation of regional air defence systems. While several projectiles were intercepted, the attacks underscored Iran's ability to strike multiple locations simultaneously. Tehran described the operation as a direct response to U.S. attacks on its military infrastructure, warning that any further escalation would invite broader retaliation across the region. What else?
The US has reimposed its naval blockade!

The United States has reimposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports, restoring restrictions on all commercial vessels entering or departing the country after a month-long ceasefire. Enforced by U.S. Central Command, the operation allows humanitarian shipments and vessels bound for non-Iranian ports while intercepting maritime traffic linked to Iran. During the previous phase of the blockade, U.S. forces redirected more than 140 compliant vessels and disabled nine that refused orders. In the first direct strike since the blockade resumed, U.S. forces today disabled an oil tanker attempting to breach the exclusion zone, marking a significant escalation in maritime enforcement. Oil prices have spiked!

Oil prices surged for a fourth consecutive session as escalating U.S.-Iran tensions intensified fears of supply disruptions from the Middle East. Brent crude climbed above $85 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose to around $80 per barrel, with both benchmarks hovering near one-month highs. Market sentiment was driven by concerns over disruptions to the Strait of Hormuz, through which nearly 20% of global oil and liquefied natural gas trade passes. Analysts warned that continued escalation could push WTI to $85–87 and Brent above $110 if regional export flows remain constrained, while tightening U.S. crude inventories added further upward pressure on prices. What else?
Iran has threatened to close all export corridors!

Iran declared it is fighting an “essential and existential war with America,” with top negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf saying Iran’s security depends on maintaining “Iranian arrangements” in the Strait of Hormuz. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned that if the U.S. blockade continues, it will “close all other export corridors that benefit the U.S. and its allies,” arguing that “if Iran cannot export its energy, no one in the region will.” The warning raises the prospect of disruptions extending beyond the Strait of Hormuz to other Gulf shipping lanes and energy export routes, threatening a significant share of global seaborne crude and LNG trade while increasing the likelihood of military escalation across the Middle East. Trump wants Iran to “behave”!!

President Donald Trump said Iran “wants a settlement” but warned, “they better behave” if it expects negotiations with Washington to resume. He added, “They want to negotiate” and said Tehran knows “what they have to do.” While leaving the door open to diplomacy, Trump also signaled the U.S. is prepared to escalate militarily. His administration has continued airstrikes targeting Iranian air defenses, missile sites and maritime assets, while officials say options under consideration include strikes on the underground Pickaxe Mountain nuclear facility and seizure of Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export hub, marking the latest development in Washington's pressure campaign against Tehran.
